The machine comes standard with Miele's innovative and improved SEB 236 Power Nozzle, or an optional SEB 217-2 power nozzle. Because the control for the power nozzle is located in the hose handle, one can move from carpet to bare floor by simply turning off the power nozzle, allowing it to clean bare floors at the flip of a switch. Because the hose and wheels all rotate a full 360 degrees the vacuum moves easily in any direction, without tipping over, and the wheels are a soft rubber so they will not mark floors. The cord winder has an added feature known as "auto-reverse." When the user activates the "auto-reverse" function, the cord releases from the machine as it is pulled away from the outlet and rewinds back as the vacuum returns. The result is no excess cord on the floor while vacuuming. The machine will operate in a "stand-by" mode, which allows it to be turned off as one "parks" the wands and floor brush on the machine. Removing the wands from their "park" position then restarts the unit automatically. The Miele active charcoal HEPA filter is already installed and with its completely sealed system, 99.97% of all particles as small as 0.3 microns are retained within the unit, not returned to the air within your home.
